Frequently asked questions about the Eco Retreat
Is a fully off-grid tiny house allowed in Germany?
Full self-sufficiency is often legally difficult, because developed building plots usually require a mandatory connection for water and wastewater. Partial self-sufficiency, for example in power supply, is, however, readily achievable.
Is the photovoltaic system enough in winter?
In the winter months solar yield is lower. The Eco Retreat therefore combines PV and storage with efficient heating. For heating purely by electricity, hybrid solutions are usually sensible.
How does the water supply work?
The off-grid tiny house uses fresh and grey water tanks, optionally with rainwater harvesting. A separating or composting toilet further reduces consumption.
What does the Eco Retreat cost?
Pricing starts at around 98.000 €. The scope of the off-grid equipment and individual wishes affect the final price, which we set out in a transparent quote.
